Christian N.These guys are THE BEST!!! Wish I knew about them sooner… here is the story:My now husband took me ring shopping before we got “officially” engaged so I could get a ring I really loved… another reason why I love my husband – gave me a budget & said let’s look! Anyway, after much looking, and looking and looking, I finally found the one I really loved at a guy in downtown LA… we thought great deal, love my ring, we are all happy. THEN I MET DAN FROM MS DIAMONDS a month after I had my ring!So Body Jewelry Wholesale, we had MS Diamonds make a wedding band to match my engagement ring – it looks better than my engagement ring! Seriously – the diamonds are better Body Jewelry, more clear, sparkle, use the entire space available – it’s amazing to see! I show people all the time – they are both on my finger so it’s totally obvious that my band is of far superior quality. Come by the bakery – happy to show you!Dan is awesome to work with – have sent several friends to him & all the men say how easy Dan made the whole thing & all the women thank me for getting them a ring they love.Bottom line – GO TO MS DIAMONDS for any & all of your jewelry needs! My hubby even got his band there for what felt like next to nothing! THANK YOU MS DIAMONDS CZ jewelry!
Dan was great in helping me out in the whole process. ?Never pressured me and knew when to leave me alone so that I could make my decision. ?Great in answering all my questions and will definitely not hesitate in going to see him again for future purchases.
I have purchased quite a bit of jewelry in my day, and nobody has worked with me to genuinely help me find exactly what I want until I was turned on to MS Diamonds. ?Dan went above and beyond my expectations to sit with me and ask just the right questions to help me get the perfect diamond and setting. ?It is a pleasure to not be treated as just another sale and it is refreshing to not be pushed around by a sales person just looking to make a commission. If you enjoyed reading this article, please check out other related articles below:

Mindy H.let me first say… i did not want to get my engagement ring at a store in the mall! i knew i wanted to get a halo setting and my boyfriend and i shopped around in robbins brothers and downtown la to widen our options, only to confuse ourselves more. it’s a ring! you fall in love with it, you get it, then that’s it… right? we learned about the quality of diamonds, what they’re worth, how to buy them, the quality of the setting Pearl jewelry, the style that looks good on your finger, blah, blah. in the end, i couldn’t make my mind up anymore about what style of ring to buy. after months of searching without finding that one ring, i started thinking i might want another style, maybe a ruby or sapphire instead of a diamond… frustrating. after a pre-valentine’s weekend in la jolla, my boyfriend and i went to glendale galleria to exchange some purchases at another store. for kicks and giggles, we decided to hit up the jewelry stores so i can make sure that halo settings are really what i want. we went to ben bridge, realized that i do love halo settings, but didn’t find one there. we went to helzberg, and i started trying on the halo settings. this beautiful girl named violet pulls out this halo from scott kay, and i absolutely did not want to take it off. i wanted to take it home even with the cz on. next thing you know, my boyfriend started talking to a lovely man named vic about diamonds and how they’re going to put the whole thing together. violet took care of my boyfriend when it came to finances, and she made sure he understood where his money is going. they explained to us about their lifetime warranty and what we can do when i want to upgrade the diamond. yes i said WHEN, not IF. what really got our full attention is that they’re going to take care of this ring for us. one of our concerns about going to a mom-and-pop store is if the place is trustworthy. can we take the ring there in the future in case it gets damaged? are they still going to be standing years from now? helzberg has been around since 1915, and now owned by warren buffet, so they’re going to be around for a while. violet and vic showed us the laser imprinted id on the diamond we picked out and had us make sure ourselves that it matches the one on the certificate. before we left the store, i had to give violet a hug because she really took care of us. as we walked towards the car, i found myself crying tears of joy that we finally got my ring. in the end, it doesn’t matter where you get the ring. it’s really the one you fall in love with. my boyfriend just picked up the ring yesterday. he said they took a microscope and showed the laser imprinted id to him, making sure that’s our diamond on the ring. i just can’t wait until he puts it on my finger!
3.5The service here is great and the people are very knowledgeable and patient. ?However, their selections are not as extensive as the places in the jewelry district, but for the mall, I believe they had the best prices and rings and loose diamond selection in the Pasadena/Glendale area. ?The settings they had ranged from modern, to classic, to stylish and to unique. That day, BH and I went to Ben Bridge, Zales, and Romano’s, and at the Arcadia mall, I went to Zales, Ben Bridge, Daniels, Lily’s, and Kevin’s Jewelers. Overall, if I were to buy from a mall store (and I wouldn’t, not my engagement ring at least), I would buy from Helzberg. ?Their cushion cut halo diamond settings are stunning, especially the one I saw in the radiant star collection (IGI certified). ?The clarity of the diamond was low – an I2 or I3 even, and you could see the inclusions upon close inspection, but because of the extra facets cut into the diamond, it shone and sparkled brilliantly on my finger (I’m sure the spotlighting helped a lot). A one carat center radiant star cushion in a halo setting was around 7k and the 3/4 carat center was 6k. ?Not bad.The Helzberg Diamond masterpiece is more expensive (GIA certificate) – the cuts are ideal and the color and clarity grades are higher than the radiant star collection. ?Therefore, the diamonds ran a premium – the 1.5 round we saw was well over the price we matched on Blue Nile; close to $4k more. Their warranty is one of the best – I mean, all of the mall stores have wonderful warranties, but because you pay so much more for the loose diamonds and for the settings, you better get a good one fashion jewelry! If you enjoyed reading this article, please check out other related articles below:

Joel Y.This place has been in business for over 20 years. ? The owner is GIA certified and was a diamond grader for many years before. ?What does this mean to me? ?It means that I was able to get a Cartier engagement inspire ring for almost half the price. After discussing with the owner CZ Jewelry, it was explained to me that the quality of the diamond exceeded the minimum requirement for Cartier. ?My fiance loves it!!!!! ?If you want to have a custom ring made then this place is the place to be.
I have never actually been here Stainless Steel Necklaces, nor have I ever walked in. I have only seen it while waiting in line for HondaYa everytime I am in the ghetto and depressing looking Little Tokyo Shopping Center. So why the 5 stars? The name is POOM GEMS. enough said.If you enjoyed reading this article, please check out other related articles below:

Brittany A.My review is from their travelling “Roadshow” and I have to say that I’m very happy I attended their Burlingame event. ?I had no idea what to expect. The setting was nice, they are very cordial and well organized. I didn’t wait very long for my turn to be seen by an appraiser and I think they offered very fair prices. The appraisals are done in a seperate more private room and that was nice too. I’m sure they offer more than many other outfits. ?I have to say that Malcolm was very nice to deal with and he was clearly the guru there (as younger appraisers came to him for occaisional advice). ?It was a nice surprise and they offered me fair money for my items. I’d say… give them a try.
I’ve been here a few times to buy gold coins. ?I’ve never experienced poor service (but I’m the only one in the place when I’ve gone), but I wonder why they advertise accepting credit cards on the front door when they actually don’t accept ccd’s for payment.
Their selection is great but their attitude has been terrible so far. Maybe another person who’s not so impatient could help me next time. It’s still a good place to get the job done though, if you don’t mind a possible bad experience.*Update: Their customer service has improved! I’ll be coming back more often now.*
I went to three different places to sell my scrap gold. (ie, broken chains, rings, dental gold) And they paid hundreds more on the spot. They were very professional and gave great service. I left very happy with no remorse. I was so pleased, I’m going to refer all my family and friends. Thanks
Best coin center ever. Been a customer for many years
Worst coin shop ever. People are rude and don’t want to do business Wedding Jewelry, especially that old lady and that younger chick. Both are ignorant and don’t want to do business. I guess they don’t need to deal with anyone since they scam too many seniors in east LA, bastards make more than 15 million a year preying on old people. Owner Mel wants to squeeze every cent out of garbage, an absolute vulture. Look no further if you want to getting scammed on selling your gold CZ Jewelry, silver, and watches.
I sold some old (pre-1964) silver coins here, and the service and courtesy was excellent!
Not just coins my friends! Best selection of second-hand jewelry I have seen in a very long time (even compared to some giant antique stores). Prices for loose diamonds and rings are sooooooooo much cheaper than retail. I just had no idea how much of a joke retail prices were…If you enjoyed reading this article, please check out other related articles below:

M B.My family has been doing business with this place for over 20 years, since it was at its previous location and I have only heard great things. Recently, my grandmother gave me a Rolex that use to be my grandfathers. It needed two additional links and a cleaning. I was told to take it Craig Evan Small. I love watches and know quite a bit about Rolex’s, but I still wanted to learn as much as I can. I took the watch there and they told me all about it and then they ordered me two links and wounded the watch. I went in on Saturday and I got the watch back on Wednesday, which was very quick. The two links were $100, which for a Rolex is a decent price. I was not aware that Rolex’s have a sort of electrical current that runs through it, so if you do not wear it, it starts losing time. That was also explained to me. I have not boughten anything from here but I did look around and the prices were very comparable and it is always nice to give your money to a local place rather then a department store or some equivalent. If you love watches, you should check out Craig Evan Small.
My friend is looking for an engagement ring so we went hunting to several shops for a vintage ring. I decided to Google for shops in West Hollywood and this was the first one on the list.I’m so glad we went there Jennifer was so patient and knowledgeable making the task of getting information for my friend’s boyfriend so easy and painless.Thank you for treating my friend with such respect and kindness… (I hope she gets the ring we saw there).
I put my husband to the challenge during the engagement ring shopping–I showed him a few antique rings I liked and told him he couldn’t buy me any of those. I wanted to push him to find me something from his heart, something he could feel proud choosing himself. I also liked watching him get nervous. Ha! ?Luckily, he found the perfect ring at Craig Evan Small. He told them what he had in mind for me, and they instinctively knew he was seeking something unique with a beautiful setting. Jennifer recommended a ring that had just come in. In fact, it hadn’t even been added to their inventory yet! It turned out to be the perfect ring. The next time we were in L.A., we went in to have the ring resized, and Craig, who has the sharpest eyes ever, noticed that my Rolex had a small chip on the crystal face. He offered to fix and clean my watch for a low fee, and they shipped both the ring and watch back to me in New York for free. ?The watch, which was my mom’s in the 1980s, looked like new, and the ring has received endless compliments. Even my mom loves it, and she’s definitely a hard one to please.
Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff with an amazing selection of interesting and beautiful jewelry.
Located in the Antiquarius Jewelry Mall on Beverly, this shop deals in fine estate and antique jewelry and watches. ?They have a pretty big (relative to many places) selection of gorgeous antique engagement rings and the on-site gemologist, Jennifer, is very helpful and friendly. ?Give them (and the Antiquarius Mall) a shot if you’re hunting for something shiny and old.
I’ve been looking for an estate/vintage jewelry store to trust for years and finally found a wonderful one — ?Craig Evan Small. To try them out I brought in a dainty old diamond band ring for sizing, a little worried about what would happen to the tiny back of the ring. ?Jennifer was fantastic! ?She made me feel comfortable right away and said very nice things about my ring. ?Since I brought it in close to the New Year she said it would take a little longer than usual — which still only meant a week of waiting. ?She called me as soon as it arrived and when I picked it up I was thrilled. ?The ring was so much more beautiful than when I brought it in! ?Their jeweler cleaned and polished it up like new (quite a feat for a 150 year old ring). ?The sizing job was perfect, just seamless Stainless Steel Bracelets, and I can’t recommend them enough. ?And the cost was beyond reasonable too — just $30.I also took a look at many of their beautiful offerings, and to a vintage or antique jewelry lover this place is like heaven. ?The prices are a bit steep, but that’s what you’d expect from a store of this caliber and address. ?Still, if you’re looking for a vintage engagement ring, watch or any piece of really special and unique jewelry, this is a wonderful place to at least start, and maybe pick up just what you always wanted…or never even knew you wanted. If you enjoyed reading this article, please check out other related articles below:

Troy is great. He has a shop in Irvine with great displays, but I went to his downtown LA showroom. Loved the selection! I went to 5 other dealers that were referred by friends, but they were all a waste of time. Please go see him Sterling Silver Earrings, I would have really regretted not seeing his selection. I couldn’t have imagined how beautiful the ring turned out. She absolutely loved it! I left happy, and i will go back for ALL my future diamond purchases.

I often eat out in the Westchester area and I happened to pass by Runa Jewels during lunch today. ?I just so happened to need a new battery for my watch and saw the sign in front of this establishment. ? ?Note: I normally get my watches repaired and batteries changed at a specialty shop about 3 doors down, but I decided to give this place a try because the shop looked kinda rustic.I walked into the store, and a lady with a wonderful ?Jamaican / South African accent greeted me, “HELLO Sterling Silver Pendants! ?Thank you for coming in! ?How can I help you?”. ? I was hooked at hello! ?The shop owner, Marie Omoruyi, asked how she could help me. ?I showed her my watch and told her I needed a new battery. ?She said in her cute little voice, “Nooo problem! ?Give me a minute or two!”. ?Before she dissapeared, I asked her how much. ?She said, “$7 because this is a dress watch”. ? ? *POOF* she was gone in the back of the store and in about 3 minutes, she was back!I handed Marie a $20 bill and she said, “$5.00 please”. ? I said, ‘WHAT?! ? You said $7.00″. ? She responded with, “I like you (as a customer) and it was an easy job… no problem!”. ?I told her that she needs to make a fair buck and I insisted she take $7 for the new battery. ? I made a new friend! ?:)Runa Jewels has been around for the last 10+ years. ?Marie sells all kinds of stuff – earrings CZ jewelry, watches, bracelets, specialty beads, eyeglass holders, etc. ? She is a very down to earth lady with a HUGE heart! ? I explained to her that I normally go a few stores down to get my watches taken care of. ?Now rhinestone jewelry, I have a new go-to place! Thanks, Marie!

Charlene C.My fiance bought my engagement ring from Chris a few months ago. ?We initially found Capri because my cousin did all of the foot work for us through the LA jewelry district because he wanted to get his girl the perfect engagement ring. ?He ended up choosing Capri and since my fiance and I trust his judgment Sterling Silver Bracelets, we went here too. ?We had been to Tiffany’s, Cartier, and another jeweler in Irvine before we came here. ?We had been quoted outrageous amounts for what we were looking for – 2 carat cushion cut with a halo in a french setting. ?Tiffany’s had actually quoted us $100,000 for the ring I liked. ?Obscene. ?So we ended up here and found the perfect diamond first and designed the ring around that. ?I must say, when my fiance proposed to me with the ring I was so overwhelmed with emotion at the fact that a) we were engaged and b) my ring was SO gorgeous that I definitely teared up. ?Every time anyone sees my ring they just tell me how gorgeous it is and how stunning the diamond is. ?Random strangers will stop me and grab my hand all of the time to admire it. ?We did have a couple of hiccups along the way – 2 diamonds falling out of the halo (at separate times) because the prongs holding onto them were too small. ?But all was fixed immediately and at no charge. ?We haven’t had any issues since!PS My cousin’s fiance’s ring is STUNNING as well. ?3 carat cushion cut with rows and rows of diamonds on her band. ?We are both very happy and lucky girls

Our experience at Capri Diamond Group was very satisfying. ?Chris was very attentive to my needs, was honest about which engagement diamond would fit within my budget, without trying to sell me anything. ?I compared what Chris was offering me to other jewelry dealers in the area, and his offers edged out everyone else. ?What was most important to me was the feeling that he understood what I needed, quickly, and looked at me with that lens. ?I don’t doubt Chris has very high end clientele, but he treated me with the same attention as I believe he gives to those individuals. ?He is a good businessman, and my decision to stick with him because of his service was not lost on him.
UPDATE 1/3/12: ? I discovered another crooked artifact of this transaction. ?Last Friday I went to two independent jewelers to see what carat rating this ring had. ?Chris of Capri jewelry stated it was 18k gold. ?Both independent place mentioned after testing that it was clearly 14k gold, and not 18k gold. ?WARNING: ?Don’t go to this jewelry shop. ?This is the most crooked transaction I’ve experienced in quite some time. ?The good reviews here may because the folks didn’t know better, it’s a fake review, or maybe they’ve changed their ways…but why risk it…there are plenty of jewelry vendors without someone submitting a one star ratingSUMMARY: ?We’ve dealt with several jewelers and the experience at Capri Jewelry was overall mediocre. ?Despite some buyer’s remorse, we purchased from Capri Jewelry Inc. because they had a ring of desirable style and other factors. ?Chris’ service was initially consistent with other reviews of Chris here, but for some reason really went south after we asked about some charge discrepancies and his poor handling of a really simply matter. ?The main issue was Chris tried to temper the initially acceptable price when he charged us an additional fee without first disclosing this added fee; it’s the first jeweler we encountered who did such a thing. ?The following happened all in a span of a few minutes. The receipt said “Paid for Jewel by visa total including tax.” with one figure of $432.25 after my credit card was swiped. ?The quoted price was $380. ?I asked why was the total more than the local sales tax rate (based on my mental estimates using 10%, which was actually 9.75%) or $417.05. ?Chris, in a patronizing tone, quickly said something like “3% transaction fee and if you do the math you’ll find it to be so.” ?First of all, the math turned out to be 4% and what’s this business of telling me now after you swiped the card and telling me to do the math? ?After some questions, instead of offering us an apology for not first disclosing before running the credit card transaction or offering us payment alternatives, he became defensive and tried to turn things on us by saying he “doesn’t want to business this way” and wanted to refund the entire purchase and rudely reaching out for the receipt. ?A bit later he first refused to let me pay by check (I had a checkbook at the time) so my credit card could be refunded including this 4% fee. ?He said the fee worked out to $8 according to his bad math (it was actually $15.20) and questioned whether it was worthwhile for me to do this. ?Some minutes later he even refused his own original offer to buy the item back but then flip-flopped again to saying just he wanted the item back and would take a loss. ?LOSS? ?For refunding a ring I just purchased a few minutes earlier? ?At this point things were just getting frustrating because Chris was digging himself a hole out of something that could’ve been handled more simply and professionally. ?I ALSO LATER DISCOVERED FROM ANOTHER CUSTOMER IN THE ADJUSTMENT ROOM THEY WERE ONLY CHARGED 9.75% SALES TAX WHEN HE PAID FOR THE ITEM BY CREDIT CARD. ?The manager mentioned margins were so small based on the price we were given as being the reason why we got the fee and other customers didn’t; but there was no explanation why there wasn’t a cash vs. credit price disclosed at first. The manager also said I could pay by check if I came in during the weekday, and later offered me $15, then $20 cash, but by this time experience was in the gutter. ?$15.20 doesn’t sound like much, but there’s something screwy about a business that probably tacks on a few % fees to some of their customers, that adds up to a sizable amount of fleecing everyday. ?It’s also the principle of finding a sneaky charge after the swipe, not offering apologies or ?INITIAL offer to rectify the situation, and having to check Chris’ bad math or question his flip flopping that ruined the experience my fiancee and I should’ve cherished. ?Going against our principles, we still ended up buying because it was very close to closing time of all jewelers in the district when we were there and tight time constraints forced us to buy that day. ?I must say this was the worst retail experience in over a decade for sure, enough that I had to post something about a bad retail experience for the first time ever. ?The only good part was the friendly service of the artisans making ring adjustments. ?I ask buyers with time to try somewhere else. ?***There are plenty of L.A. jewelry district businesses/employees that get top rankings without a one-star review.***
I am writing this review because diamonds are a girls best friend. Actually so are saphires and expensive watches and I just love them. I have shopped around the jewlery district quite a bit, but, I always seem to wind up buying at Capri. Most often I buy through Gary or one young guy. Can’t remember his name right now.I recommended a family member ?who bought a beatiful one and one half carot D color engagement ring for his daughter in law to be in China. She just loved it. I bought a Cartier watch and ?a blue saphire ring ( With a little bit of male help ). I get huge complements on the ring-even from strangers. Most importantly, Gary spends lots of time explaining the technical side of the business so you can get the best value for your money. Capri is on the corner of 6th and hill . Try them out . You won’t be sorry!!!
The jewelry district downtown can be a dizzying experience. I came here for a nice watch and this shop was the most helpful, they will also work with you on engagement rings and other Jewelry. I talked to Chris Body jewelry, who was a younger guy and one of the owners and he was rad. They also do jewelry for some of the lakers and other sports figures.
It would be too easy to write another great review for the folks over at Capri, so I’ll try not to spend too much time writing about how awesome their service is, their vast knowledge of diamonds and their massive inventory and accessibility to pieces that you’re looking for, or how quickly the turn around time is. ?That’s all already been said in all of the other reviews. ?The main thing I want to emphasize here is that it’s close to impossible to find a jeweler you can trust, especially given how overwhelming the whole experience the downtown wholesale district can be -but you can find that trust at Capri.Gary, Claude and Chris all have exceptional sincerity when servicing your needs. ?My particular experience comes with Chris. ?My husband and I first met him 5 years ago, in our search for the perfect engagement ring -perfect meaning “as good as possible specs, within our price range”. ?We had tried several other jewelers through other referrals, but none seemed to have what we were looking for, or satisfied our requirements ?(not to mention high pressure and just not so good of a feeling/experience). ?After weeks of surfing the net and reading multiple positive reviews on Chris, we decided to give him a try. ?We’ve never since been to any other jeweler, and like many of the other yelpers here, we have found our jeweler for life. ?With so much patience, Chris went above and beyond to pull out pieces that fit our specific requirements. ?We told him the price point, plus the 4Cs in order of priority. ?It was a done deal. ?We picked the stone, picked the setting, and had it fitted and set all in one afternoon. ?Even after having had it professionally appraised for insurance purposes, I could not believe the deal we got. ?We were beyond pleased and have obviously since gone back for our other jewelry needs. ?I have, for the last 5 years, referred dozens of friends and family to them, all of whom have come back overwhelmingly happy, and thankful for my referral. ?Chris remembers us every time we go in, so it’s a very personal, rather than your typical “just make the sale, and forget it” experience. ?It’s a family run business, and those are the types of businesses I like to support, because they care more about customer satisfaction. They strive to gain your loyalty. ?If you want the best service in town, the best value for your diamond needs, and most importantly, a jeweler you can trust, visit Chris (or Claude or Gary) at Capri. They will absolutely take care of you. ?Especially given that Los Angeles and New York City are the only two true “diamond wholesale districts” in the nation, you’d be silly not to take advantage of the accessibility. ?And since I just broke it down for you, you’d be silly to go any where else.If you enjoyed reading this article, please check out other related articles below:
